Looking for an academically strong preschool program within a caring environment for your three- or four-year old?
St. Augustine Cathedral School Preschool, located in downtown Kalamazoo, is an ideal location for a preschool with its fully licensed, welcoming classroom located within a nurturing, Catholic faith-based elementary school. Preschool curriculum follows Michigan standards for early childhood education.
Our preschool is unique, since it is housed within a Catholic school, serving students up to eighth grade. Preschoolers have the opportunity to interact with other students, attend mass, and more.

Schedule
Preschool 4 meets Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
Preschool 3 meets Tuesday and Thursday.
Both programs offer half-day or full-day.
Both programs offer enrichment opportunities Monday to Friday.
All preschoolers can attend our After School Care Program from 3:00 to 6:00pm.

A Family of SchoolsOur preschool is an essential component of our school family, which serves students from preschool through eighth grade at St. Augustine Cathedral School.
St. Augustine is part of a family of schools, along with St. Monica Catholic School and Hackett Catholic Prep, known as the Catholic Schools of Greater Kalamazoo (CSGK). CSGK provides a way for each school to be more efficient operationally.

Creativity
ABC Music and Me is a thematic approach to music and movement. The program incorporates literature, finger plays, rhythm, and instruments in an organized classroom environment.
The program strengthens cognitive connections, receptive and expressive language skills, and even social skills such as turn-taking and self-regulation. ABC Music & Me’s innovative approach offers benefits to all our preschool students.

Faith
The preschool incorporates the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd program as a central component of our curriculum. This is a religious program that focuses on the faith development of each individual child and his/her relationship to Christ.
It is a wonderful complement to the preschool curriculum that emphasizes the physical, social, emotional, and intellectual development of each student.
Preschoolers also spend time in our Atrium, having time for quiet reflection and learning about God and their faith.

- Three- or four-year old program
- Full or half days
- With or without enrichment program

Apply for Admission
As a member of the Catholic Schools of Greater Kalamazoo (CSGK), all St. Augustine students, including preschoolers, follow the enrollment procedures and timing of CSGK.
Enrollment is typically open from January through February.
