Kindergarten through eighth-grade students take the NWEA Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) test. It is a research-based, computerized assessment that allows educators to determine academic growth throughout the course of the school year.
Grades K-2 are assessed in Math and Reading.
Grades 3-8 are assessed in Math, Reading, Language Usage, and Science.
MAP tests provide assessment on:
Individual students: Teachers and parents can see student achievement for any test event to measure growth over time, compare results to similar students across the nation, and project proficiency for year-end tests.
Classrooms: Detailed class results allow educators to see strength and opportunity areas for the class, as well as to determine cohorts of learners within the class.
School: Aggregated data at the school level allows St. Augustine to inform our resources and curriculum decisions, and compare school/grade/class performance to national and regional norms.
